AEROSMITH FRONTMAN COMMENTS ON REHAB STAY

May 30th, 2008 · No Comments

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has confirmed his rumored stay at a rehab facility. There’s been some gossip that Tyler — who, along with his bandmates, successfully battled addiction years ago — had fallen off the wagon, but he made the move to preserve his health after a number of surgeries and physical therapy that dealt with some long-standing problems with his feet.

Tyler said, “The doctors told me the pain in my feet could be corrected but it would require a few surgeries over time. The ‘foot repair’ pain was intense, greater than I’d anticipated. The months of rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet.”

The singer added, “Make no mistake, Aerosmith has no plans to stop rocking. There’s a new album to record, then another tour.”

Up next for the band is the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith game, which comes out June 29th for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, and Wii platforms. You can check out the trailers here:
