April 28th, 2008 · No Comments

The Trews are giving fans a peek behind the curtain at life on the road with a new video . The Canadian rockers have posted a homemade tour film online, which you can see here:

The footage is set to a track called “Burning Wheels,” which is on the new Trews album called No Time For Later.

The Trews are led by brothers Colin MacDonald (vocals) and John Angus MacDonald (lead guitar). The group, which also feature bassist Jack Syperek and drummer Sean Dalton, is in the midst of shows across their native Canada, after having opened for original Kiss lead guitarist Ace Frehley’s American tour earlier this spring.

Frehley’s not the only high-profile Trews fan — the group was picked to open for The Rolling Stones in a pre-tour club show in Toronto back in 2005. Isn’t a recommendation from Mick Jagger and Keith Richards good enough?

  • Editor’s note: The Trews are the real deal — a solid, non-nonsense rock band. It’s not about fashion, it’s about these guys working harder than anyone else when they take the stage, and they’ve got the fanbase to prove it, being a huge draw across Canada. The MacDonald brothers are also incredible guys, so I’m happy to spread the word about them every chance I get.
